Francis has more than 30 years of strategic human resource experience regionally in PRC, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan and other Asian countries. His expertise covers full spectrum of human resource ranging from organization design and development, leadership and management, executive coaching for success and improvement , career and succession planning, performance management, organizational culture, managing change, rewards management, labor relations, expatriate management, learning & development, corporate policies & procedures etc.

As a recognized senior executive in human resources, Francis leverages his deep HR knowledge to engage consulting work for companies in Hong Kong and China such as Home Credit, Novo Nordisk, Neo Derm, Best Buy, Sanofi-Pasteur, etc. For example, in the project of Best Buy Consumer Electronics, Francis developed national platforms on organizational development, talent management, total rewards management, morale survey, organization culture, etc.

Since 1985, Francis began his HR career with Japan Citizen Watch Company, holding a series of HR positions to become the Personnel Manager. Then he joined the Hong Kong & Shanghai Hotels Group (Peninsula Group) as Personnel & Training Manager, and then Bausch & Lomb – a U.S. FMCG company in position of Regional Human Resources Manager. He then stationed in China as the Asia/China Vice President of Human Resources at Wal Mart, where he directed a regional human resources team strategically to develop a sophisticated Human Resources system. After 8 years with Wal Mart, he was then moved to Shanghai as Senior Vice President of Lotus Supercenter, an Asian conglomerate with strong retailing presence in China market, and the Head of HR of Ibis (Accor Hotel Group). He successfully partnered with other executives and built a strong HR organization to meet the fast growing business.

Francis holds Master of Business Administration (MBA), Diploma in Management Studies and Certificate in Personnel Management. He has been the member of Hong Kong Institute of Human Resources Management Association for more than 20 years, and was elected into Executive Committee of Industrial Relation Association for 3 years since 1988. Francis has been teaching Human Resources Management in universities in Hong Kong and China since 2007.
